Ajantha Earthmovers began its journey in 1985 with Dalmia Cements at Ariyalur, deploying its fleet to transport raw materials for the cement industry. The company then moved to Chennai — establishing crushers, supplying blue metal, and executing excavation for the city's fast-growing real-estate sector.
The decades since have taken us from complete earthwork on the NHAI Tambaram–Maduravoyal bypass, to underwater dredging and blasting for new berths at Tuticorin Port, to chromite and iron-ore mining across Eastern and Central India — and, since 2014, large-scale coal mining in Odisha with Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, a Coal India subsidiary.
